Today Molly went bowling for the first time. She was a part of a bowl-a-thon for the Spina Bifida Association of Alabama. Molly was on her sweet cousin Ella's team. This is how Molly felt about the day at first!
As you can see, Molly was not too happy! She just did not know what to think. The only thing that made her a tad bit happy at first were her "pretty shoes". This is the first time I've ever heard anyone refer to bowling shoes as "pretty"! Once Mommy helped her see how much fun bowling can be, she decided that it was a lot of fun to push the ball down the floor. Actually, at first Molly tried to kick the ball down the lane. Hey, she has lots of great ideas! I had to assist her in pushing the ball down the lane so her ball would go more than a couple of feet. Here we are watching the red ball get ready to knock over one "white stick".
Molly was so excited when the ball reached the end of the lane. She would run to get another ball each time, even when it was not her turn. I think her final score for the day was a 52. Not too bad for a 3 year old...oh yeah, there were bumpers!!! Oh well!!! I know my grandmother who loves to bowl is oh so proud of Molly! Maybe one day we can get that score as high as hers!
After the rocky start to our bowling experience, this is how we ended the day...with all smiles!
We had a great time and we were so happy to be a part of the day to help raise money for a great organization. We are so proud of Ella and all that she accomplishes each day!
