Our Little Singer

Along with her other interests, Molly LOVES to sing. She will be in the middle of playing and will break out in a random song. She will sing anything from her ABCs to Twinkle, Twinkle to her upcoming Christmas program songs. I no longer am able to listen to any of my songs while we are in the van because Molly must listen to her songs on my iPod.

This morning, Jeff thought he had to be at work for a 12 hour shift working the shopping center for "Black Friday". He left home around 5:20 only to return at 6:15...there was an error on the schedule and he was not scheduled to work today. So, currently Jeff is back asleep as Andrew naps, too. Molly started singing some songs as I'm updating the blog. She started to get a little loud so I asked her not to sing so loudly since Daddy and Andrew were sleeping. She looked at me and said, "But I'm singing to the Lord." Oh, yes...how we do need to shout to the Lord so much more often than we do. I do pray that Molly continues to shout and sing to her Lord.

This reminds me of a song I love that Chris Tomlin sings. Here are the lyrics from the song "How Can I Keep From Singing":

There is an endless song
Echoes in my soul
I hear the music ring
And though the storms may come
I am holding on
To the rock I cling

How can I keep from singing Your praise
How can I ever say enough
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing

I will lift my eyes
In the darkest night
For I know my Savior lives
And I will walk with You
Knowing You'll see me through
And sing the songs You give

I can sing in the troubled times
Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose my step
And fall down again
I can sing 'cause You pick me up
Sing 'cause You're there
I can sing 'cause You hear me, Lord
When I call to You in prayer
I can sing with my last breath
Sing for I knowThat I'll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne

How can I keep from singing Your praise
How can I ever say enough
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing
